Tips for buyers

A detailed and objective inspection will aid in your home buying experience.  As a Certified Inspector with American Society of Home Inspectors, we follow a strict code of ethics and standards of practice.

Home inspections are typically optional, but no home is perfect - even new construction!  You have worked and looked hard for your  home.  Knowledge of the home provides confidence in your investment.

Every home is different and each inspection is unique to the home.  On average, estimate about 2-4 hours for the on-site inspection then a final report within 24 hours.

The inspector is checking many items in the home and distraction can hinder BUT we advise that buyers do show up!  If not for the entire time, at the least towards the end of the on-site inspection to discuss findings. This can also be an ideal time for another look at the home to plan and take measurements. 

All our reports provide a summary, but the entire report contains the details for the home - what you hired us for!  Our reports are clean and easy to understand with pictures and descriptions. 

After receiving your report, your Realtor will have the experience to walk you through next steps and bring you closer to Closing Day!
